Mike, on the PAI website, there is an installer package called something like "Restore default AI" or something....run that as if you were installing any other livery, and it will put the files back on for you.

As for removing the installed ones, I'm really not sure, because I've never wanted to.  lol  I love em!  Nothing beats flying into Miami or Boston and seeing American Airlines flights, just as you would in reality....

That's what I'm looking for, the ultimate simulated reality.  lol

Have a look in the Utilities section at the Manual Installation.zip. It may provide an uninstall section or otherwise just e-mail them and ask what to do. They're nice guys and will be glad to help you. :)

I've just looked at the files I have and they state that no uninstaller is available until the first quarter of 2003(maybe) and any uninstall is manual. Might be why,at the time, I didn't install.

May well be worth an e-mail to see if the situation has changed.

Cheers :)

Mike-

you'll have to pardon my ignorance for a moment, but I'm confused.  You're trying to remove the PAI planes because you can see them?

:::scratching head:::

getting on-line does not seem to be a problem mate

even though i get a message saying unable to join game

shortly after all windows are cancelled the join the fun window appears

so i do

TCAS works connection works chatting to ATC works as well , just cant see any other planes

it seems others can see me though and all else works

i`m just blind ?

Out of curiosity, have you asked your controller what the problem is?  Most of those guys know VATSIM inside and out.  It sounds to me like you're missing that CSL file or whatever it's called that you get when you go on VATSIM...

What it is is a file that allows you to see other planes without downloading them, which is normally required.  This file is discussed in detail on the airshow thread which was started by Eire Plane.

Might be worth trying out...

just to add

i am now running the latest versions of all software

which incl
fsuipc
sb
directx 9. whatever B
fsuipc has got sb registered to it
and i have done a new install of fs

i`m now leaning towards the router not letting info from other planes reaching fs after its been given to sb from direct x

my understanding is the info goes from net to directx from there to sb and then onto fs

i`m just not seeing it

i have looked at all settings but not being a router expert i dont know whats right and wrong

i ahve writen down all settings that are ticked when on-line as well

so if anyone knows much about routers

Help please

Send Steve an email...he had problems with a router as well.  It's my understanding that routers and VATSIM tend to not work well together, but it can easily be fixed.

I'd also ask your controllers...they may know.
