I installed the PAI installer and printed the rest of the instructions to follow, but I'm still not seeing any other aircraft except the default ones.  Can anyone help a brother out.  I'm like Corky when it comes to this stuff. ???

Thanks

Warthog,

After running the PAI Installer for a particular airline, did you open the files, "Aircraft.txt" and "Flight Plans.txt" to see if the included aircraft and flight plans were added to the Traffic.bgl file?  This is a good way of checking your work................ :(

Project AI created a "TTools" folder at install.  This folder contains flightplan.txt and aircraft.txt, along with some other files.  I do not see the traffic.bgl file you are referring to.

The traffic.bgl is located elsewhere.  The aircraft and flightplan files were extracted from that.  The aircraft.txt file lists all the aircraft used by the AI, and the flightplan.txt lists all of the flightplans.

Any suggestions on where to find the traffic.bgl?

There's no real reason you need to find it, all of the info contained within it is in the aircraft.txt, flightplan.txt and airports.txt.  Search in the aircraft file for the aircraft that came with the program.  If they aren't there, something went wrong with the installation. ;)

Mate, did you download any other airlines???  The installer only installs downloaded airlines, it doesn't put new airlines in the flight sim, you have to download airlines to put in.  Tell me this is the problem, or I am just tired and didn't read the question properly.

Oh I'm sorry.  I don't really have anything to say.  I searched for the word "Dumbass" and this post came up, so I thought someone was calling for my help.  lol

This is the best topic for my problem.

I have the same problem with PAI (missing aircraft), but in case of particular PAI aircrafts and repaint. If I installing an airline package everything is OK, but in case of installing an individual a/c type it doesn't appear in the a/c menu of FS2002 :-[ :-[

Pls somebody help me :-[.

I'm a pretty experienced simflier,  think i did everything as it was in the manuals, but i still can't manage this problem.

Pls somebody write me the solution with an example.

Tks a lot.

In my experiences, I've never had PAI's installer package offer me the opportunity to install specific types of aircraft.  Only airlines.  That's what they do.

Or am I misreading your query?

The PAI aircrafts are not supposed to, although some do ::)

These aircrafts were built for the primary use as AI aircraft, and so not the best to fly. they have no panels, no DVCs, and as un-detailed as possibly to keep frame rates low. You're best bet is to download the high quality non-AI aircrafts ;)

Hyperion: You're right PAI installer is only for airline packages, but I need to install an individual PAI aircraft, downloaded from Project AI site. How can I check, that the PAI a/c installed correctly?

If you open Windows Explorer an see that the aircraft's folder and all of its contents are placed in the C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/fs2002/Aircraft directory, then the aircraft should be actively installed.
