Usually there are installation instructions included with the aircraft itself.  They're probably in a readme file.

If not, the easiest way is to copy the aircraft you've downloaded into the aircraft folder of your FS.

Welcome to Flight $imulator, and welcome to SimV.  The guys (and gals) here are more than willing and even more able to help you with almost any problem you encounter.

I've never stumped anyone here, that I can think of, anyway.

When you're ready to go to the next level, check out some of the Virtual Airlines that are available!

Good luck!
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Roy,go to the 'search' section and put in 'Help and Tutorials'. This will give you access to a wealth of information. Cheers :)

Or simply read the tutorial http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm by our very own webmaster and all round nice guy Pete Daly (he runs SimV).

Roy When you say "extra" aircraft, does this mean the aircraft is named Extra or an additional aircraft? If it's an Extra this is possibly a repaint of the default Extra 300. You need to find out if it's configured as a new aircraft or simply new textures to add to the exising one. This should be explained in the instructions included with the download, usually a text file name Readme.txt or similar. There are tutes posted in the SimV Help section covering basic installation of complete aircraft & repaints.
