Postby 7quiksilver7 » Sat Jul 26, 2003 4:24 pm

I've played FS2002 for pretty long time now, I never has used Multi-player feature.. How can I use it??

I tried using Zone but it wouldn't work.. do you have any other sites that offer FS2002 multiplayer??

Everything you need to use with FS2K2 is available at VATSIM.

However, I'm exhausted, and I should probably go to sleep, so I'm not in any condition to tell you what the filenames are.  You'll need SquawkBox and RogerWilco to get the most out of your VATSIM experience.

I assure you, VATSIM does work.  I've used it with my 2K2 Pro. ;D
Great edit, Bob.

Or there's the Bushnet Server.

Very easy to join, and no required software except FS2002 ;)

However, be warned.  After looking at the Bushnet server, it is aimed at GA, not commerical aviation. ;)

I have had a couple flights on VATSIM, and can assure you that it does work, once you do all the steps to get it going. Can be frustrating at times making it all come together, but well worth the effort. On thier website it states that 40,000 have got it woking, so can you, and I did. Takes time and patience, but keep trying. There are many steps, but if you get the tutorial for Sqawkbox, its a great help with step by step instructions.

The Bushnet Server allows people to fly online togather, in any aircraft they want. Unlike VATSIM, the ZONE, or other restrictive servers, you can do fly anything & anywhere you want

The following is a copy/paste from the AVSIM Forums.

Topic: Bush Flying Unlimited>The Bush Net
Topic #1447

"The Airhead's Guide to Bush Net"

"Bush Net is a multiplayer network that enables you to fly online with your fellow bush pilots. The beauty of Bush Net is that you don't have to worry about finding someone to setup and maintain a multiplayer session. Everyone can come and go as their time allows.

Bush Net is geared toward General Aviation, bush flying in particular, rather than large airliners and cargo planes. As a result, it's not as strict and structured as a traditional air traffic controlled (ATC) online system such as VATSIM. You can take leisurely flights without worrying about lots of procedures."
