You can get more RAM from most places like Dell, Gateway, computer magazines, most computer stores, the telephone book, I think even Wal-Mart might carry some, provided you don't go in there all angry and curse the kid out...  ;)
Great edit, Bob.

Damanwithaproblem,

I saw your other post about you running XP,I wouldn't run anything less than 512MB with XP (1GB or 1.5GB if you can afford it & if you have enough slots on your motherboard).I had 384MB at one stage and under XP I noticed the ATC was very slow to respond and my sim rate in general seemed to be very slow(even though it was indicating 1x).

Yes it is enough, i use only 128 MB of ram, although I am using ME so i believe that makes it a little better.
It is a little slow though unfortunately, and  would advise using more. >:(

Hopefully soon with RAID 0! :D

Yes, but won't we all agree that there are two different types of "enough"?

There's enough in the sense that yes, it will run.

Then there's enough in the sense that it would be best if you had ______...

Two different figures...

We need more information on your system specs to be any help. Things like processor power, video card & OS (operating system) make a lot of difference. WinXP generally needs more RAM to run software like the sims than Win9x/Me. I'm guessing you don't have a video card.

I'm running XP home on a P4 2.4......... and I decided tro go from 512 to 1 gig RAM.  RAM is cheap right now.  Comp USA has 256 M sets for $18.00 after the rebate...... $50.00 before.

I got a 512 M module at my clone dealer for $80.00.

Win XP is a memory hog....takes a lot fo the base op system.  But remember I am not satisfied with FS unless the sliders are maxed out and there is a lot of AI traffic ;).

best,

With the current prices of memory there's no reason you should try to do with 128 mb. Go out and get you a couple sticks of 512 and stick in there.
