Active Camera succesfully installed, but I can't get it to work. Fly By Camera is checked but nothing happens. The only thing I have been able to do is walk aroud on FS, but I wan't fly by and approach views. On the configure settings I have put the seconds and altitude of the camera, and the minimum distance, and it still doesn't work. I tried during replay too. Nothing ???Anyone help me please?

In order to get your fly-by, hit "S" as though you were changing views until you get to "Tower View".  While you're flying around, you'll get quite the impressive shot of your plane as it flies directly past the camera.  (Very cinematically!)  You'll really get a feel for how fast you're moving.

As for the approach views, I really only use them for my instant replays and flight videos.  It's the same idea though....check "Approach View" or whatever it says, and switch to Tower view....at 200 feet your view will automatically switch from fly by to approach view.

I promise, it DOES work...I've got it.

There's a thread on the forum from not too long ago that addresses this...it has to do with CTRL+shift or something.  I don't do it, so I'm not sure.

Oh allright thanks guys I got it working. You travel around by going into Spot view and selecting external pilot view...make sure you have Do Travelling select in the configuration....

Another thing, The fly by is always ABOVE my airplane, even if I have it set to like 1000 feet or about the same altitude my airplane is in.....not always on top, my airplane comes and then goes but the camera is from above, instead of in front of it. Help?

If that is how it is then I guess I can get used to it.

Even I am facing a lot of problems with activecamera. Sounds like I have got one problem after another!

I am unable to pan and zoom using the mouse + wheel. DOn't know why.

Does the mouse wheel do that in A/C?? lol  I didn't know that.  It's really not a problematic utility.  I find it very helpful.  Somewhere in the forum is a thread regarding ActiveCamera, and I know there's a tutorial available somewhere, I just can't remember where.

Yes, you can do that with the mouse. I have no problem because I am used to using the + and - on the top of the keybaord next to the backspace and the number 0

Yes, the approach view is right up there, but do this...head on out to sea somewhere (slew out there if you wish) and get a decent altitude.  High enough to see contrails.

Then unslew, and get stabilized....switch it to fly-by.  A full speed fly by with contrails is hard to beat!
