Space Shuttle Panels

For any Shuttle buffs out there.........I downloaded Shutpac2. What am I supposed to get as far as panels, for the respective three shuttles? On the two missions into orbit, I get no panel, and crash in about 5 seconds. On the shuttle you can land, I start on the ground, but isn't the mission supposed to start in the air?
I'd appreciate any assistance.

Well, I wish I could help you, but this is the first I've heard of ShutPac2....but I'm curious where you've found it, I might wanna give it a go. Thanks!

Go to your site map for FS2002, and go to miscellaneous downloads Page 7. You'll find the Shuttle Pack there. If you give it a go, let me know how you make out on panels, and flying, etc. Thanks! :)

I downloaded it also and I get panels for all 3 shuttles. The 3rd shuttle starts on the ground for me also but it doesn't take long to get it up in the air. lol
There is a zip file inside the main zip file after you download the shuttle pack. That one has the panels in it and it has a readme file that tells you where they need to be put in order to work.
I hope this helps.

Are you on FS2002 for this, or 2000? I'm still not able to find all those zip files in the Readme section. I appreciate your assistance. I know it says her panels are designed for FS2000.

I downloaded it, and attempted to fly it. Didn't go quite as planned.
For starters, it's a very unstable aircraft....she wasn't at all easy to fly.
Second, the "orbiter only" aircraft had engine sounds...The shuttle has no engines on re-entry. She's a big ol' glider. A fancy shmancy paper airplane.
Third, I found it difficult to get off the ground. I had to slew to a few hundred feet, then go, because it started about 62 feet off the deck. Without plenty of time to build the thrust up, she crashed back down on her tailbone before launching.
It's a good concept, but I think that I'm going to pass on it...the 100K foot ceiling on F$ doesn't make it enjoyable enough, ya know?

I know what you mean. If I decide to uninstall, what's the best way to do it? Thanks!

Well, I'm not sure if this is the BEST way to do it, but I just went into my aircraft folder and deleted the folders in question. Then into the gauges folder I dove and got rid of the shuttle gauges.
(This is why I keep the zip folders on my desktop til I'm sure I want something or not...it's easier to find the proper file names when you know what they are!

'Tis what we're all here for! (That and the buffet table, which I have yet to find!)
