on loading this plane in the three different parts has instructed too,the problem then start when the plane is picked in flight 2002 pro the screen blanks out and error message appears and it shuts the program  ::)down. I removed this aircraft and everything is back in order. Any suggestions please.

THIS IS A SERIOUS WARNING

DO NOT INSTALL THIS AIRCRAFT.

I thought I would look at this. I installed it carefully, it crashes FS2002 Pro every time on startup.

I started with another aircraft, switched over. It ran for a short while then the panel crashed the prog again.

I switched to my Connie panel, it started up then crashed FS2002 again.

Then my whole XP Pro system which had been running fine for weeks - only change was installing this plane - also crashed.

I am trying to recover my system, which I use for business, and typing this on my laptop.

THIS PLANE IS AS DANGEROUS AS A VIRUS IMHO. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

THE GUYS WHO DESIGNED IT HAVE A LOT TO ANSWER FOR - WE SIMMERS INVEST A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND EFFORT CREATING AND CONFIGURING OUR SYSTEMS AND WE DON'T NEED SOME HALF-ARSED PIECE OF SOFTWARE LIKE THIS TO DESTROY THEM FOR US.

This plane makes the case for outlawing ALL autoinstallers. I'm usually the first to defend designers who create freeware that is the lifeblood of our hobby but what has been done here from my experience is way beyond irresponsible in my view.

thank you roger i have tried trhe best part of the day and this is not the first time it has happened, but i must admit the auto loaders are the ones that cause the problems. to the chaps who worked on the files please but it back on but in the normal way of losding, and not the auto system. Thanks to everybody for their replies this plane is now in the bin where it should stop

Far be it from me to defend auto-installers/self-extractors. I hate the idea & would never use them myself. For over 4 years i've been telling anyone who will listen not to use them. It's usually easy enough to redirect the extract path to a Temp folder & install the files manually. Then you know exactly where all those files are going & which, if any, files are overwritten.

However, in this particular instance I suspect the problem is some bug with the panel, gauges or sound (or a combination of all). If I'm right, this would be the same whether it was auto-install or a normal zipfile.

PS. This is exactly the same reason I advise people NEVER to extract normal zipfiles direct to the sim.

Same thing happened to me!!

I never use auto-installers to put files directly into FS. I install it to my unzipped files folder and then drag and drop. I used that method to install the beverly and it works just fine. As a matter of fact I absolutely love the sound files. They are quite large and actual sound from a Centaurus radial. So much better than many other files. The synchro sound on multi-engine is wonderful. I have aliased quite a few aircraft to these sound files, single and multi-engine. I recommend that everyone try them. Even if you do not like big craft. Singles, multiples, especially doubles - they sound great. The sound files can be downloaded seperately.

The problem may be with the auto-installer, but, I assure you the aircraft is ok. And for those that like 'em big and slow. Go for it!

I have personaly installed the Blackburn beverly. I installed it into as temp file then made sure everything was where it was suppose to be and then copied it into the appropriate directories and had no problem with the aircraft and it flys well. I never trust the installation programs and always copy it into a TEMP folder first.
