HELP!! Turboprop speed problems?

???Hello! I need help with a Saab 2000 aircraft I downloaded. The aircraft is great and I don't wan't to lose it or delete it.

The Saab 2000 is a unique aircraft in that it being a TURBOPROP it can reach speeds of upto 320kts. In this FS version [and as with many others] the aircraft barley reaches 250kts at low altitudes.
I tried to fix this with tampering with the aircraft.cfg file:

[Turbine engine]
static_thrust

[propeller]
thrust_scalar

[turboprop engine]
power_scalar

I tried messing around with these, but the result I got was that I could reach higher speeds, but when I sellected the autopilot speed setting the engines would fluctuate in an unusual way and so would the speed. For example if I set the IAS speed the engines would go to 0 and then quickly rise to about 90% power and then down again and up again, and the sppeed would change in a simillar way.

Is there any way I can make my plane go faster, but still have it reacting relistically!

Thankyou!

Hi, I think there is a sollution, I read somewhere that it wasn't true but it works with me.
Trie to adjust the prop pitch. The engine will make less RPM but the angle of the propeller will increase.
Hope to help you with this.

Which model is this - the Swedline?

You may not know, but M$ didn't create a proper turboprop fde that supports an autopilot. That's why the default Kingair and Dash 8 don't have autothrottles.

There are very few good turboprop fdes out there. I spent many weeks working on one for a Dash 8 project which I think is the best I've yet seen. It's stable in all conditions up to heavy turbulence, but I doubt that will bother you.

You can get it off my website and edit the cfg file for the Saab.

As it happens, I've redone the fde for the Swedline Saab but I haven't put it up onto my website as it's not been quite tested enough. Maybe in a couple of days when I've recovered my system from the Blackburn Beverley debacle.
