The chart I'm using as an example is for LAX:

http://www.aopa.org/images/asf/taxi/00237AD.pdf

These numbers appear in the bottom-left quadrant of the map, and they read:

Rwy 6R ldg 9954'
Rwy 25R ldg 11,134'

RWYS 6L-24R, 6R-24L, and 7R-25L
             S175, T225, ST175, TT400, DDT900

RWY 7L-25R
           S175, T225, ST175, TT210, DDT900

I thought at first that the first set of numbers (ldg 9954') was the runway length, but the chart shows that runway to be 10,285x150

And the second set...I've got no idea what those are.

Thanks!

Well if an airline pilot doesn't know, then I certainly don't need to know for F$.  lol

Thanks to everyone for your prompt assistance, as usual.   ;D

I thought at first that the first set of numbers (ldg 9954') was the runway length, but the chart shows that runway to be 10,285x150

That is right because each runway in this case (and with most airports) has a displaced threshold, you have 10,285 feet to take-off from, but only 9,954 feet to land on because of the displaced threshold(s).

Not a problem Hyperion, that is what everyone is here for... to help each other and occasionally stir up trouble!

Don't look it at like, you are here to meet new people and have fun... As stars go, I have more stars now than I ever received in all my years of school.
