:D Hi folks,

How do you takeoff with a glider since there is no engine?

Hi,

You don't take off... you "slew".
press "y" to enter slew mode or exit it. press f4 to climb and f1 to descend.... basically use the f keys to control the aircraft in slew mode... (you can also use your stick to move right/left/forward/backward)... there are many other functions... like I said.... explore the mode with the f keys.
Once you are in position press y again to start controlling the aircraft normally.

You SLEW using the "Y" key, F4 increases altitude rapidly, F1 decreases altitude rapidly and if you want to stop your altitude on a dime while in SLEW mode... press F2 and it will halt you immediately.  If you don't want to increase rapidly use "Q" and if you don't want to decrease rapidly use "A", all while in SLEW mode.

actualy there is a program that launches you ;D
found this a few months ago:
http://www.fszwever.com/
it's bassically an engine programed into the sim that pulls you to a pre-set altitude thhen switches itself off, even has a cut-away sound. All glider people should get it! ;D
