Hi!

I want to try FS2002. My processor is currently an ATHLON 1,2GHz. Can anybody give an advice for a graphics card that works well with this configuration and is also not too expensive? Do you recommend to upgrade my system to a new processor?

Thanks for help!

Cino

You will get by with your cpu but newer sceneries and aircraft that you will want to download are increasingly cpu intensive and you will find that most likely you will not be able to put all your 'sliders' up to max if you want to avoid jerkiness (due to frame rate getting too slow). So you will miss out on some detail and features until you upgrade (to something like 2GHz plus....)

You didn't mention your OS - but in any case you will need at least 256 MB RAM and 1 GB is recommended as it's pretty cheap now.

The new ATI Radeon cards are not too expensive - but they have had the effect of bringing prices for all cards down. If you're on a tight budget look for a GeForce 4 MX 64 MB at a good price - if you can afford a bit more go for the GeForce 4 Ti and you won't regret it.

In my signature below, you can see my system specs, vid card included.......My AMD 1800+ runs at 1.53 ghz ......if you go to the Graphics forums and see some of my posts, you can determine whether or not my quality would be sufficient for your requirements.....you may have to back down a slider or two to get acceptable frame rates, but you should be able to do reasonably well with your processor.....
