Wooden Runway?

Postby Tchkinjiu » Sat Jul 05, 2003 9:32 pm

I've seen some pics in the M$ folder. In the runway detail section, I saw a file that looks alot like a wooden runway. It had the markings on it and whatnot.

Anybody ever encounter a runway like this?

check it out for yourself...
it's right there with the other runway#'s.  It's even called  "Runway64"
The other main runway texture is called
          "Runway11"

See for yourself.

Wood runways have been used along with steel mesh and other materials depending on the situation. So what you are seeing is most probably that-wood!
I'd like to know where it is so I can go land on it!! :)
White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.

I saw it...I'm not sure what texture it's supposed to be, but it doesn't look quite like wood to me.  I agree, though, that it is definitely something interesting.  Wonder what field that's at?
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.
