I looked in the cfg and everythings still the same. can somebody help?? can i just copy the file from the fs2002 cd back to the aircraft folder??

If they're in the unspecified list you must have done something to the aircraft.cfg file.
The easiest thing to do, rather than try to recreate the .cfg settings is just to extract it from typical.cab on CD1.
The .cfg file file is responsible for displaying the textures, but you should at the least have subfolders named texture, texture.1 and texture.2.

Yeah Jim's right
Look over the threads for the past coupla days because editing the cfg file to get aircraft to appear properly has been dealt with in depth very recently.

all I did was overright a texture file with a new one, and it didnt work correctly. it sent the other 2 textures to the unspecified section. then I even opened the .cab file on disk1 and extracted the 737 folder into the aircraft folder (deleting the old one first) and it gave me a different problem... it would only show all 3 textures as the pacifica skin and all were in the unspecified folder still
oh well, it's been running slow lately, so I reinstalled and am careful as to what aircraft I install now. Just a weird problem, especially since putting the default folder didn't fix it, it just created a new problem.
i didn't want to re-install but it fixed it so im happy. thx for the help anyway guys

Big Al,
In general, it isn't a good idea to overwrite any files associated with a default aircraft. Doing this can effect how fs2002 loads each time you open it. If you want to add a texture to the default 734, then add the folder and edit the Aircraft.cfg file accordingly. To remove one of the default textures, edit the .cfg file but do not remove or overwrite the texture folder.
Also, make sure the texture you are adding is designed for use with the default aircraft rather than a different model!
Good luck!
Erik
