How do you guys prefer to fly in FS? Sorry if this has already been done.

V.F.R. every time, around 2,000 ft. AGL.... ...!
In a nice little G.A. plane... ...!
It would be a waste of time installing all that lovely scenery if it's too flippin' dark to see it, (I.F.R.)... ...!

However i want. I do a bit of everything. VFR, Scenery, IFR....ocean or also scenery. IFR does not necessarily mean at night, you can fly IFR at 8000 and still see everything, and at a better view. IMHO

I.F.R. (Instrument Flight Rules), is an extra examination you have to pass to prove that you can fly the plane safely, using instruments only, when you cannot see the ground below you, at night, in cloud, poor visibility, etc.
V.F.R. (Visual Flight Rules), means that you are only qualified to fly at times when you can observe the ground at all times, between the hours of sunrise to sunset, clear weather, etc.

I like V.F.R....'cos I like to see where I am going...LOL...!

Yes, Fozzer. I fly IFR already, but maybe i was clear enough. What i mean to say was that IFR can also be flown during the day, at around 8000 ft or whichever is preferable and still enjoy great scenery.
And you see everything at once,a big picture

IFR is far too interesting. Flying in the clouds is boring unless there is turbulence. But when you know you are out of the clouds and you have poor visibility, your instruments are you eyes and it is way too cool!

When I said IFR, I ment following the flight plans. Airlines fly IFR all the time, even when it's clear out..

Depends on my mood, but mainly low level VFR.

I thought that is why M$ gave us those two great features, the one where you can speed the sim and SLEW.


Even when I am going far, I much prefer GA... I wonder if I took out the C172 for flight and cranked the wind up to 300 kts., if I would fly backwards?

I like to fly mostly VFR, but I do enjoy IFR using VOR's and an Atlas.  I don't like flying the GPS as it simplifies things too much.

usually i like to fly IFR, but as of late i have been doing some nice scenic tours in the 172, and also alot of airshow type flights, pick a military base and a jet i have a nice dagger and also a load of nice harriers that are great fun for flying those sort of manouvers. Fozzers like to be able to see where your going thing is a good point, whats the fun in looking at a grey screen for hours on end, although you can fly VFR at night if skys are clear you just need to pass some test i believe.
