Hello all,

           Liran and I have come up with a new designing group called Project SkyWorks (PASW).We do designing in a very special way.We have a method known as the " Monthly Aircraft Task".I will explain here how it works and if you still need informati,go to http://www.Project-SkyWorks.vze.com or contact Liran or me.Every month,we try to tackle an aircraft.Let's take a B-717 for an example.The people who are responsible for researching aircrafts will be researching real-life ino about the B-717.Next comes the people who models and designs the aircraft,the Aircraft Modelers and Designs will use the information the researchers use.After that,the repainters repaint the B-717 the Aircraft M & Ds (as we call them) made and paint them into different liveries.We believe this system will be very efficient to making aircraft every month.We are looking for members so if you can repaint,make or design aircraft,research well,please contact us or go to http://www.Project-SkyWorks.vze.comand click on Join PSW to Join our team and have fun !!! What is a B717 ?...was that a version after the 707 and before the 727 ?....I don't know this A/C ?
Also, I understand the "P" "S" and even the "W" but what does "A" stand for in (PASW) ?

I re-read your initial post and understand the 717 thing....it was just a hypothetical, for explanation purposes ?....oops ....need to read better.....

The Boeing 717 was formerly known as the DC-9, err...MD-82.

It was the only survivor of the MD airline series after the Boeing acquisition.

Now that makes sense to me..........I flew many flights on the DC-9 from YYZ to London, Ottawa, Cleveland...back in the teen yrs........

One thing though, on that quote, its called a 21st Century A/C....how can that be if the design was flying over 30 yrs ago.....although it now operates with newer and different engines and avionics, the design really is a 20th century one, no ?....I guess this is a case of " New and Improved"....but how can it be "Improved" if its "New" ? ....and how can it be "New" if its old but "Improved" ?.......the mind boggles..... :-/

The Boeing 717-200 started life as the McDonnell Douglas MD-95. The aircraft is the latest (and possibly the last) in the popular DC-9/MD-80/MD-90 family of aircraft, however the aircraft was far more technologically advanced than it's predecessors. When Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas in 1997 the MD-95 was the only Douglas plane that Boeing kept in it's product line-up. The MD-95 was launched at the Paris Air Show in 1991 named the MD-87-105, before being later renamed to the MD-95.
