Hi folks , heres the deal
I set my flight plan in flight planner eg Heathrow to Charles-de-gaul , find route , save , fly now , no probs

takeoff , set switch to gps and arm autothrottle and autopilot

The plane goes off on the heading in the heading display box but ATC want me to go back to the previous heading what am i missing , i just end up flying by hand , kinda misses the point of GPS

looked in the help files but theres no real difinative answer of what to do , just explanations of various buttons and such like

Help me please , i`m trying hard but failing

What I do is fly the headings given to me by ATC until I'm very close to the GPS Track.  Then I switch the auto pilot over to NAV and the NAV/GPS switch to GPS and you will then follow the course set in the GPS.  The ATC only gives you a bearing to fly when you drift a certain distance off course.  It also sometimes gives you a bearing if AI traffic is very close.

When you get near to the destination airport you will need the autopilot back on HDG as you will receive bearings to intercept the ILS.

Good luck mate.

normally you hve to follow ATC intruction until he told you turn heading ... pursuive on curse. here you just have to set autopilot on nav. and be keeping eyes on ATc instruction because somtimes he will make you leave your plan and refind it.
