Hello
I wonder if anyone could tell me this:
When I select a LOW VISIBILITY it's still sunny and nice
weather except that my horizont is getting closer to me
and I can still see what's infront of me without problems.
Please help me because it's so unreal
Greeting Andreas

Hmmmmm -- I could be wrong but it seems to me you need to specify some "obstruction to visibility", like fog, rain, snow or cloud before LOW VISIBILITY can exist.
This is a silly anology, I know, but what you're doing is like firing a gun without first putting a bullet into it.

Lowering your ceiling to field elevation may help. Depending on how low you want your visibility. Go to ADVANCED SETTINGS on WEATHER. Also if you don't have a video card try changing your display options. Under SETTINGS,select DISPLAY, go to HARDWARE and select HARDWARE RENDERING OPTIONS, at this point either select or de-select TRANSFORM & LIGHTING.

This is the same thing. You must HAVE a ceiling before you can lower it and, by METAR definition, a "ceiling" exists only if there is 5/8 of the sky covered by cloud. In other words, you have to input clouds. His original post says it remained SUNNY even with minimum visibility. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude there was no rain, snow, fog, sleet, blowing dust, smoke or haze set into FS's advanced weather panel to constitute obstruction to visibility.
Like I said, you gotta load the gun before firing it.

yes, but when I lower the visibility in FS 2000 it's getting misty without any clouds..
And now I've also tested your tips but it's not working...could it be my grafic card maybe?? I've got a 700 Mhz computer???
