Hi, I know how you hate those flight schools >:( . But I'm desperate to know how anyone passes the instrument flight check.  I do everything up to being told to head for the Nolla Lom and enter the published approach for the ILS landing to 13R. I've studdied the charts, maps and landing procedures as your told, and every time I get set up to do my landing at the correct heading, speed and height, SHE FAILS ME. or has she parachuted to safety..... :-/
If anyone can help big thanks and a beer.

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,  :) I would like to know how you got passed the holding pattern senario, ??? After I pass the PARKK NDB she say's to turn left and follow the 140 degree radial to sea vor, :( and then she bails out  :'(

Could you help me out here ;)

PARK NDB - yep I had the same problem, she basically talking rubbish.  Turn around and head back to the right of the SEA VOR. Once your near it turn left so your heading 140 radial (thats away from 140). I sometimes had to circle around the VOR before she'd finally talk to me and point towards the NOLLA LOM.  As soon as she tells you re-tune the radios do it immediatly or its another failure(have it ready on stand-by) also the NOLLA LOM frequency is 362 have that tuned ready. Well if you get any further let me as I'm totally stumped from there.
:'(
Cheers
Phil

Are you talking about the private pilot checkride?  If so there's a fix here http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;315203.

Once, I was able to pass the private pilot checkride, but then I had to uninstall FS2K2 and reinstall it...this means I lost my certificate.  It took me forever to pass the steep turns portion of the checkride, and after the reinstallation, I STILL can't get past it.  I've given up.  In a reply to my original post about the checkride, I was told that they suck and not to even bother. lol  Hope that's a help for ya.

Thanks for the heads up on the VOR Phil, it worked. ;D
But now I'm at the part where you are ???. I was at the point where I was ready to bail out myself without a parachute ::). So I did some reading into the programing of the check ride and here is what I think we have to do. First while you are doing the published approach for ILS Rwy 13 R Boeing Field you have the ILS tuned in to NAV 1 but you have to go over the NOLLA NDB, then you have 30 seconds to turn outbound to 265 degrees, watch your distance, you can't get outbound more than 10 NM of NOLLA and you are on a timer of 180 seconds from your turn to 265 to your turn for the localizer so watch your speed, and keep in mind that if you go THROUGH the Localizer on the inbound it will be an automatic fail. :o While you are on Final your course cannot deviate more than 4 degrees on either side of center on the Localizer. I'm going to go and try it again now so I will let you know what happens.

I have just done that checkride for Instrument Rating and I passed it. I saved a screen shot of it in word 2000 but I don't know how to get it here to prove it. Any suggestions on how I can do this ???
