Postby m » Thu Jun 19, 2003 3:05 am

Hi everyone!

Im new here but already have a load of Qs  ;D

I started fiddling arround with the FS and have made it to taking of with ALL the planes, landing even with the Airbus (just plain luck I guess because I caouldnt do it again) so I was wondering :

is there a tutorial DETAILED on flying Boeing/Airbus?? But I mean really detailed...

And also,..... I just cant figure our VOR navigation, I always use GPS.... HSI is also giving me trouble..

So please If you got any good links....

Thanx!

Hey M how are things in sunny Croatia? Just over the border in Hungary is lovely ;)
Right if you go to http://www.simviation.com/fsdhelp.htm you'll find several tutorials that will help. I haven't seen a definative one for Boeing/Airbus, but there is an introductory 737 one which will help quite a bit.
As for VOR try http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/ it has everything you could ever want to know about nav.

Ozzy ;)

Have you been successful landing in smaller planes like the 172?  It definitely helps to start small and work your way up, although I'm guilty of jumping right into a 747 too.  lol I learned more by moving my way up one plane at a time though.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Hyperion, i feel the EXACT same way. I am currently on the Fokker-100 and CRJ, they can do 300 knots, ALMOST as fast as a heavy ( by 100 knots?) but very easy to control. Yep, im on my way!
