AC Lighting fs2002

Postby Ken Beach » Wed May 21, 2003 8:52 pm

I have a couple or more ac without  running lights and I
don't have examples to copy from. I think it's possible to
use the aircraft anatomy in the aircraft.cfg file as a basis
for installing a "Lights" section in the same cfg file.
Problem is, I'm not to quick at math, and would appreciate anyone advising me as to what info I'd need
(and how to jig it) to install, for example, port and starboard
wing lights, upper and lower beacons, and a tail light if
appropriate. I understand the format for the section but
the numbers are beyond my capabilities at this time.
Thanks very much for any help at all.
Another little thing; does anyone know if a map exists
giving a lat/lon breakdown of world atc zones in fs2002.
Example: Where does China end and East Asia kick in, etc? Thanks.

Just want to say thanks vm for the excellent advice
and example. Thanks  to you I'm now an expert
(well sort of) on installing running lights. I've put
them on some older fs98 a/c and on a couple of
Learjets for 2002 that came without lights.
Thanks again.
Re the ATC problem. I'm installing Afcad towers at
a string of airports I've built  just north of antarctica.
The stretch from the South Shetlands south of south
America to Amsterdam Island south of Madagascar.
A total of twelve. I've got afcad running on nine of
them but I can't get it running at Kerguelen Island,
Heard Island, and Crozet Island. I'm almost
ready to give up. I've tried hooking them to South
Africa, Madagascar, India and a few others. Zip.
That's why I was asking if anyone had the
fortiitude to map out the afcad zones in lat/lon.
It gets real difficult without a close reference point.
Tks agn.

FSTipster,

Hello!!!

I read your lighting specs with interest and saw the "newll" you are using for additional landing lights.

What lighting package did those come from?
