Last question I promise

I know I have been asking way to many questions lately fs can go in so many directions it's almost overwhelming for a rook like me.

Anyway, does anyone use FS Traffic and is it any good?  I was reading about it on the web site and it sounds great and the pics look great. I would love to have to deal with the real airline schedules and such.

My system meets the specs so hopefully it would urn decently on my puter.  P4 2.66 Ghz Radeon 9700 512 Ram.

Thanks, and I promise no more stupid questions: John

Hi John,

I can't actually answer your question as I don't have FS Traffic, but I just wanted to say that you shouldn't worry about the number of questions you ask. That's a main part of what the forum is all about.

In answering them (or trying to), other people who have the same question learn. In some cases, and this has happened to me, you didn't even realise the question needed asking until someone else raised it.

It's all good - keep them coming. :)

Asking questions also keeps the rest of us thinking. Sometimes we can tend to get off the subject  ;)

don't really see the point in getting it when you can get good results from PAI for an even better price, FREE

I presume you are interested in FSTraffic to add traffic to your sim?

If so - save your money & use AFCAD & TTools.

Available here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2002utilities_ess1.htm

& check out the AFCAD & TTools forum below ...

Jake,

One reason why Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools program is highly recommended is that it can be used in conjunction with several methods of adding AI traffic without fear of corrupting existing files in fs2002.

Go to http://projectai.flight1.net/ and you'll find a lot of airlines to get and the planes are fairly fps friendly

In some defense of FS Traffic: I used to use it with FS2000, and what it normally did was to use the ILS data to get planes to take off and land - but then they'd disappear e.g. once the plane came to a stop on the runway.

One great benefit it does have, is the ability to record your own tracks at favourite airports, so that you can build up a portfolio of takeoffs or landings that were all your own, but were then randomly assigned to other aircraft. I had a busy Gatwick like this - and it was all me doing the flying! However, as I say, at airports where there were no recorded tracks, it was the basic ILS landings and takeoffs ...

You can't record tracks with TrafficTools (although you can program when planes take off and land, so it's kind of equivalent), but on the upside, there are schedules for entire airlines that you can get.
:)
