Editing Aircraft

Postby hennjj » Thu May 29, 2003 6:39 pm

I am looking to edit the aircraft files or whatever files that are in charge of having the aircraft come up in the list and in the order.  What I am actually trying to change is the call sign, I guess, and also to try and group all the same types of aircraft together so that there aren't many different listings for the same type of aircraft.  If anyone can help, please reply.

Open the aircraft.cfg with notepad.

You'll find (usually) 3 lines as follows:

ui_manufacturer=Beechcraft
ui_type=Baron 58
ui_variation=White with blue and gold

These control the entries in the aircraft list only. Amend them as you please.

The lines starting ATC control the callsign etc. used by ATC and will remain unaffected.
