I have started to add AI flights using AIMover.  I have added some flights..... but they don't go anywhere!!!!!  The aircraft are there on the tarmac....... but thay never leave.

I tried adding appropriate gates using AFCAD.... and there are now a lot of gates.....and that hasn't helped.

Is there a limit to the timing of takeoffs?  I have a run of 2 minute departures inviolving about 8 "heavy" planes.

All of the default FS2002 flights that I left in there still takeoff.... the only ones that don't are the flights I have added.

Any thoughts?

FS2002 uses GMT time for ALL flights. Try watching them at their scheduled departure times using GMT in FS2002

Thanks.  I am pretty much a newbie to this AI changing stuff.  I am beginning to think that this time fram issue between GMT and Eastern Time is part of the problem.  

I live in a time zone that is GMT + 2 hours.  When GMT is 00:00:00 it is local 02:00:00 here.  So when I set up a flight in AIMover I have the selector set to the GMT+2 timeframe setting.  So I am ASSUMING (yeah...I know) that if I enter a flight in the schedule that I put in 00:00:00 that would be "adjusted in the GMT aspect to actually fly at my local midnight.  So when I go to the airport at just before local midnight.... I should see the flight leave.

Is this basic concept correct?  Thanks.

You should check the percentage of times the aircraft are to run their routes.
I'm not sure about AIMover, but in TTools, the flight plan uses a percentage of how often they fly. Example:

AC#18, N700MS, 65%, 2Hr, VFR, 17:30:00, 00:00:00, 40, F, 3752

Here, aircraft #18, basiclly, flys the route 65% of the time. If your AI traffic settings is less than 65%, aircraft #18 will not fly.
Try increasing your AI traffic setting, if you haven't already.

Thanks.  I didn't know about the lower limit of 65% stopping ALL flights for that aircraft from happening.  Thanks.  I have set most flights at 99%.  AIMover is a "frontend" for TTools.  It seems to me to be a VERY good program for interfacing with TTools........ lots of features, and very easy to understand interface.  Allows a lot of "tweaking" easily.  The "code" of the TTools files is a pain to look at and understand .  At least for me.

I'm a real newcomer to ttools so forgive me if I've got this wrong.

I don't think that percentage governs how often they fly the route as such. My understanding is that it's the threshold figure at which you have your AI slider set, before the flightplan is flown.

So in the example you quoted, if your slider was at 65% or more, the AI would fly the flightplan 100% of the time, but a slider setting of less than 65% would mean it wouldn't be flown at all.

If you make an AI track set to 100%, that route will not be flown if your AI slider is set to 99

You're leaving out an important factor in your discussion!

There are some specific airlines (I won't name names) where the % of AI traffic expected has no bearing on whether or not an aircraft will fly.......

Aha.  I think I now have the gist of this....... and it is NOT what I thought the control does.  Sort of the opposite.
