Landings

:)hI ALL !

              Hey,this is Jet ! You know in landing procedures,since you are up in the air,you cant tell what runway you land on.On ATC,if it tells you to go to Runway 2 for landing for example.In the air,how can you determine where the runway is?

You can check the airport on the map, if you don't have the chart already. Depending on the size of the airport, you also know what direction the runway is (e.g. Runway 16 correspnds to 160 degrees). If you are told it's Runway 16 Left, for example, there are two parallel runways, with the one assigned to you being on the left side.

Ditto.  I use GPS all the time not just to find the runway, but to line up left to right on VFR approaches.  The runways on the GPS screen have green "arrows" that have the point at the threshold and expand outward.
