Guage view question

Im sure this is really simple to solve, but I cant figure it out.
I recently uninstalled, then reinstalled FS2002 to correct a problem where the display was totally freezing and I had to restart my computer everytime... well now that is fixed, but I am trying to get everything back how it was before, and for some reason, when I toggle through the cockpit views, it doesn't give me the option of the open window w/ the 4-6 guages at the bottom like it did before.
Before it went: Cockpit view, Open w/ guages, just open.
now its just cockpit and just open.
I tried looking in the settings, but cant see anything. Any thoughts? I dont think I had to adjust this the first time I installed it.
TIA.
Sean.

If you press "W", nothing happens?

I go from this:

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sra ... 178e56.jpgBefore, between both of those, I had like the second one, but with the primary gauges at the bottom.

BDS. That's how it should be. The aircraft in your shot has no virtual cockpit. To bring up the mini panel with the primary gauges hit W from cockpit view as Fisharno suggeted.

I understand what the DVC is all about. This is not it.
Those shots are from the cockpit view. When I hit "W" it goes from the main panel(the first picture), to no panel or gauges(the second). It used to go between the panel shot - to no panel and just primary gauges - to no panel or gauges.
It was nice being able to go to the no panel w/ primary gauges view so I could have a greater field of vision and still have gauges. Now, it doesnt give me that option.
This is the view Im missing now:

Have you used any gauge cleaner tools? Some of them move minicontrols.gau and minipanel.cab, which are necessary for that view.

I,ve had the same problem that you're speaking of and what fixed mine was a reload of fs2002, but recently I've discovered that the gauges are located in the Aircraft directory under the default file. Make sure you have this file in the aircraft directory, and also if you don't like one of the gauges you can change most any gauge in there to one you like better. I would suppose if for some reason that you're missing this file it could be found on the CD's. Hope this might help.

Sorry BDS. I thought you were using the S key. Let's try again.

Hey no prob Hagar. Takes me a few times to explain it right.
Looks like both minicontrols.gau and minipanel.cab are there and in the right spots, but still nothing. I might just reinstall again, but I really hate to do all that work again. Alot of backing up planes and what not.

Well - thats what it is. i remember deleting it too. I thought it was something that I might have installed back in the day and put in the wrong directory, so I deleted it. Already emptied my recycle bin as well. Guess Im going to be searching the CD's now.
Thanks again guys. I really do appreciate it.
