Name changes

Awhile back there was a thread on how to change the names on the add-on aircraft so that it would change where they show on the select-a-flight list. I cannot find it.

I did a search but apparently did not use the right search words. Any ideas?

Thanks

Not exactly what you're looking for but this explains the basic principle.  ;)

OSO. THE INFORMATION THAT YOU WANT TO CHANGE IS FOUND IN THE AIRCRAFT.CFG FILE. AS AN EXAMPLE OPEN UP ONE OF THE CONFIG FILES FOR A STOCK FS2002 AIRCRAFT AND YOU'LL FIND THIS INFO. ui_MANUFACTURER= BOEING OR XXX
ui_TYPE= 737-400 OR XXX
ui_VARIATION PACIFIC AIRWAYS OR XXX.
YOU NEED TO CHANGE THESE 3 LINES TO SUIT THE PLANE YOU ARE TRYING TO GET TO SHOW IN IN THE CORRECT PLACE IN THE LIST ON FIRST PAGE OF MS2002.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

Now I need to find out how to do it for CFS2 aircraft used in FS2k2.  ;D

The same basic principle applies Oso.  I open the new aircraft file and an existing aircraft file next to each other and simply add in the lines that are missing.
