:-[ Please Help

Whenever I click the FS 2002 (.exe) application to run it I get the error message "Microsoft Flight Simulator requires DX8a or higher. Please reinstall Microsoft Flight Simulator."  . What does this mean! I am new to this!

Please help!

you need to update your direct X files
if you have hi speed internet or alot of patient then goto microsofts site and download DirectX9
if not then just reinstall directX from the flight sim cd
i think its on there.

DX means DirectX, the program that FS2002 uses to run itself (I'm not sure of the specifics).

Getting this message means you either need to download DirectX 8.0 or higher; or if you already have DirectX 8.0 (look it up in your windows search program) for some reason FS is not detecting it and you need to reinstall.

Sorry for the problems, bud.  FS2002 screams!  Hope you get it running soon. :D

if you look through the files on the FS2002 disk you should find DX8......i have a question...to start with FS2002 was working fine but now it freezes on the splash screen......
