I don't know about the XP upgrade, I heard too much bad stuff to risk it! However the error can be easily fixed, just go through your FS2k2 CDs and you should be able to find the missing traffic file and copy it back into the FS2002\MODULES directory.

Dude,

Thanks for the reply, but I probably wasn't very clear.

The traffic.dll file is not missing.  In fact, there are two files.

The XP service pack upgrade has a file with one titled the same as in FS2002.

I could simply get rid of the service pack upgrade, but it would be nice to be able to have the upgrade.

XP has been problematic for me.

Thanks for your help.

Still grounded...

Gordon

In that case Gordon the only thing I can suggest is an uninstall, and re-install FS2k2 from scratch.

Sorry.

One of the major complaints of the service pack 1  XP is that it slows down your machine terribly, not to mention other things like effecting software.  The main fixes in SP1 are security fixes and not operational enchancements.  There is an article on  M$ XP sight about them working on another patch.  You can read about there.  I decided not to DL the patch after hearing all of the negative effects and run my virus/firewall on my own.

I agree. My machine came with XP home edition, which I have used faultlessly for almost a year now. My only upgrades have been the video card drivers and DX9.0, with independent firewall and virus software, so I think I'll keep it like this. Sorry to hear of your problem.
