Help A/I Files

My A/I traffic went AWOL in FS02 standard.  Rollerball said that I need 2 files from disk 1 of Fs02, default.cdp, and default.dp.  When I did a search on that disk for these files neither one came up.  Most of the files are zipped on the original disk.  How do I extract these files to reload them without unzipping them, and does anyone know which area these files would be located in on the disk 1?  Thanks.  ??? ???

Those "zipfiles" are actually in CAB format but you can open them with WinZip. Look in Aircraft.CAB on Disk - 1. All you need is default.dp. Extract it to a Temp folder in the usual way, then paste it into FS2002\AIRCRAFT. Default.CDP will be created when you fire up FS2002.

Thanks Hagar, it worked.  I now have A/I Traffic again!  In fact, almost too good, I had to go around twice at Charlotte-Douglas! ;D

Excellent Jerry!

I actually said that there should be 2 'default' files and the one for AI is default.dp as Hagar very rightly points out. Sorry if I wasn't totally clear in my reply.

Always glad when something works out and someone's problem is solved. Enjoy!
