Ho do you make Aircraft AI Pilotable?

Postby CaptainCub » Mon Apr 21, 2003 3:18 pm

Somebody has probably already asked this, but is it possible to make aircraft I've downloaded recognizable as AI aircraft as well so I can share the taxiways with them, see them parked at the gates, and so on? I have several interesting Jetliners and Civil aircraft I've downloaded and am getting kinda bored always seeing the default Cessnas, Pipers and Boeings that came with the sim on the tarmac during my flights.

You need to make AI tracks to be able to use an aircraft as AI.

Download TTtools and give it a go. It's kinda of confusing at first, but there is a tutorial here that should help.

You should also try ProjectAI. They have AI airline packages. Well worth downloading.

Yes you can do this easily with Traffic Tools or Project AI. It may seem a bit undaunting at first but It really is simple after a few goes. I do all my own with Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools, it really brings an airport to life. Warning don't overdo the traffic or you will find yourself in a queue trying to get airborne :) :) :)

If you need help there's a whole forum dedicated to it here at simV called 'AFCAD and TTools', good luck ;D.

PS. there's a program called Airextt which finds the planes speed and design name for you, you just copy the information it gathers from the generated Aircraft.txt into the TTools Aircraft.txt and all the infos there for you to make the flightplan. It makes it alot easier. (well it did for me)
