I have install FS2002 and now want to add my 747-400 professional software. It will load the disc but when I come to the install menu and click on "install" it comes up with Device Driver not found. I have windows XP and
have no problems with any other software. Has anybody had this problem. :(

Yes I have down loaded the upgrade software for 747-400 in order for it to run in FS2002. But I can only upgrade it if the 747-400 program is loaded.

I've managed to load the software.
Solution
Load the program files on to the C drive.
Create a file called 747-400, load the data files, delete the AVI file, and then click on set up and it will load.

I can only load one 747-400 jet, still not totally solved.

To answer the DVD and CD drive part of the question ... I have both DVD and CD-RW, I loaded the FS2K2 Pro without difficulty, and when I had to reload due to pilot error I had no problem.  They (DVD &CD) are seperate drives EXCEPT that if you load through the DVD, THAT drive becomes (for all intents and purposes) THE recognized drive for FS2K2 software.

If you are loading now through the other drive, it may just tell you that the drive is not recognized (or words to that affect.)

Good hunting and happy landings
