What an amazing model this is....!!!
After downloading it last night, (I think I had to share time with Pete, as it took 3/4's of an hour to complete the download!), I spent the next hour or so just rotating it and zooming in and out observing all the tremendous detail lavished upon it.
The main rotor mechanism detail alone is a work of art!
Note the blades changing pitch as the collective lever is moved!
This is a helicopter worthy of including as a default aircraft in FS 2004!
I don't normally fly helicopters, because I feel like a drunken ballerina skating on ice, and never seem to be able to master it, but this excellent model is well worth me carrying out a lot more practice!
...must persevere...!

Many thanks again to the GMAXFLIGHT team.... ;D...!
...WELL DONE...!

Cheers...
Paul.

I'm not  complaining about anything I just can't fly Helos that well, but how the hell do you get it to stop ???

Calb is the man to answer this really. He's an on-line instructor for helicoptors, but unfortunately I don't have the link (someone will post it I'm sure).

I'll do my best in the meantime.

Flying a helicoptor is seriously different to a fixed wing aircraft. It's all about translating the power of the engine into a combination of lift and directional motion. This is something you have to finely balance between use of the collective, rudder (tail rotor in this case) and the joystick.

To stop, lower the collective somewhat and pull back on the joystick. Lowering the collective counters the altitude increasing effect of pulling back on the joystick.

That's a VERY oversimplified attempt to explain it. It's all a matter of practice.
