Problems with Meljet 772/3

Hi guys,

Got quite a horrible problem with my 772/3 from meljet.  Everything's perfect when I'm flying them, the after a terrific flight, I come in to land beautifully, straight down the centreline, this is in crosswinds, and after touching down the bloody nose gear goes straight through tarmack!!  Everytime I land in a crosswind that happens, it's bloody annoying, and what's pissing me off even more, is that now it's doing it with no weather on, no wind at all!  It's not happening with any of my other planes, I don't have a clue what's wrong, I tried going into the aircraft editor, but couldn't find a thing wrong!  I'm flying with most of the settings switched to off, just the scenery complexity and the terrain texture size is on medium, and all the boxes at the bottom right are on.  Please could someone tell me what's wrong.  Do you think it could be that my processor can't cope and that it doesn't help the flight dinamics too much, the meljet 772/3 is very detailed and realistic.  766MHz.

Thanks,
Greg

Does no one out there fly the 777?  Can no one help?

Thanks,
Greg

Hey Greg,

I just tried my unmodified Singapore Meljet 773, no problems here.

Sounds like a nose gear contact point problem.  Here's the line of the nose gear contact points in the .cfg I have, does it match yours?

point.0=1,  105.42,   0.00, -17.50, 1181.1, 0, 3.500, 70.0, 1.0, 2.5, 0.7200, 15.0, 15.0, 0, 0.0, 0.0

Yeah, unfortunately that can't be the problem, cause it is the same!  I really don't have the slightest clue what could be wrong cause I come into land at around 160-170 and touch down at around 155 at 5-600 fpm, it's also at a bit of an angle, since the engines on the 773 are the same as the ones on the 772, so it has to fly at more of an angle, but I also touch down like that with the 772, it used to work well, then it started this crap!  As long as I can remember it's always happened for me in crosswinds, but it never happened with weather switched off, now it is.  Do you think that my processor is the problem, and it's concentrating on the graphics too much and not having much power left for the flight dinamics?

Greg

I fail to see the connection, but don't rule out that possibility just yet..

I tried the autobrake feature, and the brakes were applied.  The nose gear sank fairly far into the ground (about half way or so up the tire).  Could that be what is happening?

Someone quench our thirst for a resolution!

I had the same problem but with the main gear. I just switched off the crash effects after I had a problem with a different aircraft always giving a building crash and I was parked miles from any buildings. It wasn't till I tried the 777 again that I noticed I'd forgotten to switch on the crash effects again.

Well, thanks for the help guys.  I think that the autobrake thing might just be the problem, even though I only have it on 1, I don't see how that much stress could be put on the plane, I 'll try landing with it switched off, I'll just use manual braking.  By the way, I'm using the world airliners 777 panel, do you think that that might be the problem?  Ah well, can't really fly the 777 too much anyway, since I only get around 10 frames with all the settings switched off, there's not much point.
