FS2002 - Problem sound?

Whilst the intro talks by John and Martha King are crystal clear, I have great difficulty in making out Rod Machado's flight instructions. I have turned the engine and cockpit sound levels right down and set the Sound Quality at "High" which has led to some improvement - but not much.
Maybe the sound reproduction is meant to reproduce "real situation"?
Is there anything else I can do to improve the sound quality? Does anybody else have the same problem?

Any help would be much appreciated

There is an option somewhere in the lessons to turn on text at the top of the cockpit, and this text is everything that Rod says. Not sure where it is offhand, though....!

zcottovision Thanks for your rapid response.
Well, I have spent the whole morning trying to hunt down that option. I have looked at every Help file, read the manuals, have even been to MS Knowledge Base, but found nothing. (Except the closed on/off caption at CTRL+Y/W which only gives flight details)  :'(

If you could track down that option I'd be extremely grateful.  :)

I think the CTRL+Y/W was the thing I was thinking of - it's been a while since I took the lessons. I just went looking for that option, and couldn't find an option to turn on everything Rod says, so presumably it doesn't exist and I was just imagining things.....   ::)
