Hi folks.

Having a bit of trouble with my radios. Not all radios, just the default 737 radio stack.

It no longer works! The ADF and the transponder work fine, but the NAV and COM radios don't have a standby frequency available anymore, and I can't change the default frequency. Also, the COM2 has disappeared completely.

The other problem is that I currently don't have a working cd drive to fix the problem by re-installing. My FS2002 cds are sitting there looking pretty, unable to be used....!

I'd appreciate it if some kind soul could email the necessary files again (I don't know what they are, though..!)

It looks like you're going to have to reinstall the radio gauges.  Get and run fsGauges at http://www.fsgauges.com.  It will tell you which gauges are missing.

Unfortunately, it would be illegal to send you copyrighted files.  If you have a spare computer or a friend with a working CD you could extract & download.  Or try downloading another panel (nice one here http://www.friendlypanels.arrakis.es/htm/indexen.htm) and several here at SimViation and elsewhere

Have you been messing with either your panel.cfg or aircraft.cfg files?? Somehow one or the other is now probably corrupt.

If you've lost the standby frqs it may mean that this bit of your aircraft.cfg file has been knackered.

Luckily, there's a backup copy of the file in your 737_400 folder

The panel.cfg file is more of a problem. You come across the kind of problem you've described when you come to adapt old FS98 panels for example for FS2002. If your aircraft.cfg file is OK, you might want to try downloading and installing another 737 panel - there are some great ones out there many MUCH better than the default.

Trouble is you'll find the rubbish IMHO default VC in the 737 messes many up. That's why most people never bother with the default 737 anyway - and go for eg the much better Yeodesigns model with a 3rd party panel.

That's the way I'd solve the problem. Wouldn't waste my time with the default aircarft/panel at all.
