Hey y'all...just purchased a yoke and foot pedals set and was wondering if I can use them in conjucntion with my precision pro joystick.  Would like to use the stick when flying my Piper J3 and other aircraft that use a stick rather than a yoke..Would appreciate any feedback..Am using following system....Dell 8250, 2.4 Ghz. 512 ram, 128mb Raydeon 9700 Pro.  By the way the yoke and pedals are the CH products type.     :P

I'm not familiar with what connections the CH stuff uses (USB/Serial?) but I can't see why not.

They'll have different driver sets, and may mean you have to unplug one to use the other, but otherwise it should be ok.

If it's possible to have them both attached at the same time, I'm not sure what would happen. FS2002, as far as I know, only selects one joystick device, so you may run into a conflict if you have both plugged in at the same time.

No doubt someone who owns the CH yoke will be able to shed some more light on this.

Here is a link with for a program that is designed to fix just the problem you have described.  I have never used it myself, but I think you might want to try it . . .

Try it and tell us what happens! :)

Actually, FS will list all available controllers and allow configuration of each simultaneously. I currently use my Saitek X45 HOTAS, the pedals from my Logitech MoMo wheel and a gamepad (for radio/nav buttons/controls) all at the same time, all configged direct through FS interface. No additional software needed. BTW....two are USB, one is gameport.

I forgot to put this in my last posting.  Thanx to Earl Hilton for reminding me.

If the joystick you are using is force feedback, then when you try to use the yoke and the joystick is connected, the joystick will react to the a/c and screw up your flight.

BUT . . .

If the joystick is NOT force feedback, tehn you can simply leave it connected and use whichever you want to without worrying about any confusion, Earl is right: FS will let you have both connected.

Correctamundo Ender! I too forgot to mention that. The only force controller I have is the MoMo wheel, and when I first set everything up, I had left FF on, and things didn't go well. However, when I disabled FF in FS, all my controllers started playing together quite nicely. thanks for filling in the missing info!
