F-14 panel

Postby planespotter » Wed Mar 19, 2003 12:15 am

I once had this USN Virtual link book marked that had some awesome Navy Panels to download that used the Radar from AI Bridge.

I had to reformat and lost everything. Would anyone have alink to that site so I can reinstall the panels.

I believe it was the F-14, 18 and Prowler panels.

Appreciate any help

??? never hear of those panels that can use that radar. The only two that I know of that actually use that is the f-16 and F-15 panels here at simviation.

If you ever find out where that F-14 radar panel is pass the word. I have been waiting a long time for someone to incorporate that radar in a f-14 panel (my favorite fighter)  8)

Are you familiar with designing panels?

I made it so I can use this code into any panel.cfg I want and it adds the radar gauge as a seperate window

Just be sure to add the header at the top of the text file ;)

Just copy the radarL.bmp file from your f-16 panel into whatever panel folder that your adding this code to

Hi Andrew,

I am not familiar with panel designs, can you explain in detail how to do that. I would love to add that radar from the f16 into my f14 fighter plane. All that stuff you just wrote is totally unclear to me.

I need to understand which folder I need open and how to find that folder. I also need to know what information I need input that folder. And explanation on folder to copy the info from.

I know you wrote that already, but I like to follow a step by step method to make sure I make no mistakes and nuke the game  :-/ :'( that wouldn't be so hot!

Also can I use the auto-pilot settings panel from one aircraft and use it in another, the same way you are teaching me to take the radar panel from one plane and install it in another. The reason I ask is because the f-16 panel has the autopilot settings (alt., heading, winglever) switches so tiny and it is hard to read the #'s. It doesn't have a blow up of that panel.
Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!

The radar gauge Mav is talking about tracks AI aircraft. You can click on one of the blips and it will give you it's tail number, and show you it's altitude, speed, and rate of climb. It also give you a range view, a verical view and horizontal view. Really sweet gauge!
I was think of adding it to my glass C-5 panel, just for the heck of it.
