I've done it by taking FS out of full screen mode (alt-enter), firing up winamp then minimizing it, then putting FS back to full screen mode.
Expect a frame rate hit.
There are also some utilities that will allow you to put an mp3 player gauge in your aircraft but they load the songs into memory and are limited to 6 songs. You also have to copy he songs to your sounds directory. That wasn't a satisfactory solution for me.

I have a radio gauge that allows me to play CDs while I'm flying; I have installed it in a couple of my GA aircraft, and there's nothing like playing music to suit the flying area; like Greek music in the Greek islands, for example. Is that what you're thinking of? Otherwise, I can't see any problem with simply multitasking with a Winamp player for MP3; no reason why that should cause a frame hit in my view, unless you're running a dinosaur.

P.S. Can some helpful soul tell me how to configure this YABBADABBADO stuff so that my HTML sig below works properly? Thanks.
