Real Weather Continously Updating

Hello All,

I know this has probably been asked before but I could not find any posts about it...

If you download the real weather using the utility that comes with FS2002 (I forget what its called right now) does that update the weather for every airport?

For example, If I am flying from L.A. to New York and I update the weather in LA, when I get to New York will it be the weather according to what it was when I updated it in L.A.? (I hope that makes sense! ::)

How do you get the weather to update in real time as you fly along? Is that possilble?

Thanks!

Firstly, the downloading real world weather downloads local weather for every weather station, so yes, if you fly from LA to NY, the weather will change throughout the route.

Constantly downloading real world weather as you fly is not possible, although that is one of the features anounced for "A Century of Flight".

Downloading a small util (available from any good site) called ActiveSky2002 solves your problem, and continually updates the weather as often as you ask it to.

I've never tried downloading "real" weather.
But...another good utility is "Weather Maker" by Calibre Software.
It is excellent over short distances, and you fly in and out of all sorts of weather fronts, cloud, fog, rain, snow, thunderstorms, lightning, etc.
Works best if flying into the wind, it arrives quicker then....... :o...!
It's only a small, simple, program and works a treat!
Highly recommended!
