How do you make a screenshot?

I was wondering how to make one of those awesome screenshots in FS2002, normally I can figure stuff out on my own but I can't seem to make anything work, I know it's probably simple and any info would be apreciated, I read somewhere to pause the game and hit the print screen key, this does nothing as far as I can tell.

The easiest way is to download a feeware screen capture utility like FSscreen.

You can do it without though. Pressing PrtScrn copies the image on your monitor to the clipboard. Once there, you need to open an Art package like Paint Shop Pro and pull down the edit menu. You'll see an option for "paste as new image". Do that and then save the file.

Bear in mind that without one of the aforementioned capture utilities, you have to do this each time you take a shot. Otherwise your second depression of PrntScrn overwrites the first image in the clipboard before you've seen it. Capture utility progs will generally allow you a thousand or more stored images meaning an uninterrupted flight.

Thanks!! I will go find the freeware you mentioned and put it to use, I have flown to a lot of cool places and wish I had screenshots, for the sake of realism I started my FS2002 career out of my hometown airport and have been flying all over the country, I won't start a session just anywhere, it has to be the last airport I landed at, so if I want shots of places I've been I will have to return there in my travels. Thanks again!
