Baron - D.C. or A.C. electrics?

I'm programming a load of new annunciator warning lights for the V2 Baron panel.

What I need to know for one of them is whether the Beechcraft Baron 58 uses D.C. current or A.C?

I'll venture an educated guess...

Like all cars since the 1960's, airplanes use Alternators (AC) to keep the system/battery charged... Alternators are much lighter and more efficient than (DC) generators... HOWEVER

Thanks for that Brett.

Sounds like it doesn't matter too much for what I want.

I've programmed a gauge called `DC Bus off` (I took a guess). If both alternator switches (not just one) or the engines aren't running, it illuminates.

Does that sound about right?

That sounds like a gauge I'd want im my plane (real or otherwise)   ;D

Gauge programming is one of the aspects of simming I haven't dove into (yet).  Probably because,, once you start,, where would/could you stop  ;)    I think a guy could spend as much time perfecting a set of gauges, as he could a designing the whole plane... more than I can handle...

I only really got to grips with XML gauges a coule of days ago.

However, if you've any programming experience, they're relatively easy to get a handle on. I've had some help for Rob Barendregt who's way ahead of me in this area.

I have to say you're right - I spent 16 hours solid programming the annunciator lights last night. It's an addictive experience. I also got the Panel and gauges SDK which provides all the parameters and event triggers. I'm going to have to exercise a little self-discipline with this or Baron V2 panel will remain forever under development LOL.
