Hi guys,

I need some advice, I would like to get more frames and faster graphics, which would be better, upgrading my processor from 766MHz to 1.6GHz, or from 576Mb Ram, to 1000Mb Ram, one or the other?  Which one would be better?

Thanks a lot.
Greg

The processor - undoubtedly.

Bear in mind you may need a new mother board as well as the processor so it can work out pricey.

Increasing your Ram from 576mb to 1 Gb is unlikely to make any difference at all.

Yessiree, there aren't any boards I know of that will support both a 766Mhz and a 1,600Mhz CPU,,  and you prob have SDR ram in there, chances are it won't go with the new board either (but you wouldn't want to buy a new board that didn't at least support  DDR2700, now would you ?)

You may have that machine as far as it can go,, and any $$ spent on it would be better toward a major upgrade  ;)

OK, thanks, that's what I thought.  I don't want to get a 1.6GHz processor as well, I want to upgrade to it.  My motherboard can only upgrade up to 1.6GHz, so I thought it might as well be done now while its still affordable.

Thanks again.
