Meigs Field

Postby dandivine » Sun Feb 23, 2003 8:11 am

Is there any way to set a different airport default other then Meigs Field in 2002?   I would like to have my home airport were I keep my plane default when I start 2002.
Thanks dan ::)
I always thought that my airplane conveyed a silent sermon. To the earthbound observer, its silhouette was the shape of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.

What you need to do is set up a flight, starting at your home airport, in the parking spot you want. then even choose the aircraft you want, (you can always change that after you start the flight)  Then once you are set up at that airport like you are ready to go, pull the menu up and click file, save flight and then when you lable the flight name, there is an option that says, make this my default flight.  Click that so that is checked.  Then from then on when you start FS2002 that flight will be the first one you see when you click fly now.   Hope that helps.

Just be aware that if the aircraft you pick to start at the default airport, where ever that might be, isn't a default aircraft, you may run into trouble in the future.

FS2002 sets the default parameters for the gauge situations via the first aircraft you load. If you subsequently change to a diferent aircraft (particularly an add-on), it can cause problems with both loading it and the gauges working correctly if it does.

Doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind.
Hey,  I was wondering,  I fly down the Florida Keys alot in real life,  my friends own a motel in Key Colony Beach.
I was wondering how can get some palm trees down there?  Those geen trees that are there don't seem to get it.

Joe Watson released some excellent landclass scenery for Florida a month or 2 ago. (freeware)

I'd strongly recommend getting that if you fly that area a lot.

I just passed through it on my World Tour btw lol - Leg 9 in the site in my signature if you'd like a look.
