Farewell to a Dear Friend

All things must pass...

In clearing one of my small drives for another purpose it's time to let this simple yet wonderful flightsim go after over 15 years of enjoyment. The countless hours spent flying around virtual Earth (literally) in FS2002 will remain precious to me. For the final flight the country of Bhutan was chosen, located on the southern slopes of the eastern Himalayas. Wasn't difficult to choose an airport, there's only one in FS8. :-) Breathtaking terrain as well as sparcely populated, my kind of place. As Sun has set in Bhutan...

...so it also sets on this flight simulator for me today flying Manfred Jahn's DC-3, though Mr. Jahn's classic plane will continue to be flown here in my FS2004.

Had erroneously credited only Manfred Jahn for the C-47 featured in my final FS8 flight. The aircraft is actually based on Jan Visser's DC-3 original model for FS2000 and that had been updated for FS2002. Another developer having a hand in helping with this fine plane is Paul Pridwalesand, and Mark Beaumont as well doing the repaint based on Jan's original textures. My apology for the error, having confused it with Manfred Jahn's C-47 (based on Jan's model) for FSX/P3D which Jan also helped with.

Nice pxs...
I've not installed 2k4 but my 2k2 is operational. However, my DC3/C47s are in my prefered CFS1 and CFS2 programs.

Thank you, H. Conversely, I've not installed CFS1 nor CFS2, though so long as my breathing continues than so shall the DC-3 and C-47s in my FS9.
