Is it possible to copy just the regular Microsoft GPS and save it into any panel using the Pro edition?
I'm flying a C-123 from Minnesota to Texas and I have no idea how long my flight will be and when I need to descend until I'm right over the airport.

I haven't fired up my copy of FS 2002 for a while, but as it can be done with FS 2004 very easily, I suspect that the same procedure can be accomplished in FS 2002 just by adding the details to the panel.cfg file; Gauge type, x,y, X,Y, coordinates, etc...
Copy the gauge details from an existing panel, cfg...modify the position and size, and add them to the new panel.cfg file.

Example copied from my FS2004 default Cessna 172...>>>

Window04=Compass

I have several GPS gauges that I have fit into various panels.

For FS02 I doubt that a FS04 gauge would work but a FS00 gauge probably would.

The default FS2002 Cessna 172 GPS Gauge is as follows...>>>

So I go into the panel and copy in the following?

Or how does it work? I've never modified anything before.

Before you do anything make a copy of panel.cfg.

Then you need to add the Window Titles entry (in red) and and add the Window information.

To access this new Window you will need to use the shift+number key (2, I hope). Once you have the Window in the right position we can add an icon to your panel that will toggle the Window off and on. Do you have a file in your gauges folder named simicons.cab?
