Bubnme...I'm not sure what the minimum specs are for FS9, but yours would probably run it, though not very smoothly.
If your motherboard could take it, and you have a few extra dollars lying around, I'd suggest picking up at least another 256mb of RAM. In fact, if you got another 512, you'd be even more set. But 256 should give you a considerable boost.
Another 256mb stick will run you about $50-60 USD, maybe even cheaper depending on your source. Good luck!
Extra RAM is a good idea but this will depend on your OS. For WinXP the more RAM the merrier. Many people are still using Win98/Me in which case 512 Mb RAM is the optimum* & 1 Gb would be a waste of time & money. It might be better to get a better video card. I would try FS9 on your system before spending out. It might run perfectly well as it is.
*PS. Fozzer recently mentioned that increasing the RAM to 768 Mb improved FS9 on his Win98 system. He also has a 128 Mb video card.
