You're not the only one, VATSIM looks confusing to me too :-/

But the Bushnet server is easy, and the people who fly on it are fun 8)

....Actually sounds like something Fozzer might be interested in

It confused me the first few times I tried to get in, but once I did it two or three times, it became second nature.

F$ is fun, but until you've had a LIVE ATC in your ear and you're talking back to them, you haven't experienced its full potential!
Great edit, Bob.

I'm not sure of a URL, but according to one of the forum posts I read on another site (not mentioning names because SimV is the best. lol) Bush Net seems to be more GA oriented than airliner oriented.  Just thought you might be interested in knowing...

Definitely read the tutorial on the VATSIM site...it's very helpful, and even easier to follow.

If you can't get on with that, then let me know and we can set up a chat time or something and I'll talk you through it.   ;)

I can say all this based on the fact that I have recently been privvy to a round of emails concerning a certain Org (Professionally run by all accounts) trying to gain permission to fly as a Military Org on the VATUK Servers.

I once got an email saying that if I sent the email to all of my friends, Micro$oft would send me a check.

I guess if you read it in an email, it must be true.

Now about that check... ;)

I have no first hand knowledge of this specific incident, however, I can say as certainty that every organization, regardless of type, has taken actions against one group or another, because it has abused its policies.

It's not to say that your group did this, however, it is important for all readers to note your affiliation with the group in question, resulting in a biased opinion.

I'm not saying anyone did anything wrong, simply that you are speaking from a very partial base. :)

I can assure you there is no Bias here Hyperion, only an objective look at recent events, maybe its time to be objective, I could also say the same concerning your involvement and your own outlook on VATSIM.  This is very much a two way door.
The democratic way is to be able to have freedom of speech, surely the good can be voiced alongside the bad.  That is all I have done here.  I have made  positive tones to VATSIM and I have also voiced negative tone.   At the end of the day this is a Hobby, nothing more...

If only everyone involved (not just here at SimV...this really is the least affected by attitude...) shared the same theory...

However; anybody wishing to fly Military on the VATSIM servers might want to heed a friendly warning.
VATSIM are openly hostile to Military flights on this server as they consider them a "Risk to the enjoyment of its Members" <--- Quote!

Neeko,I fly for the VUSN and we do almost all our flights on VATSIM and we've never had a problem. Our air wing is based at Lemoore in California and we deal with the Oakland/LA controllers on a daily basis and we all get along fine.(Oakland even will give us intercepts and clear us for supersonic flight from time to time)
