Tower views

Postby Jamie » Fri Nov 17, 2006 8:40 pm

On most ( if not all )  airports the tower appears to be out in the open with good views of traffic , but on landing ( I like to use instant replay ) my plane seems to be landing on a runway with the tower view obstructed by buildings , trees , etc.
I just flew my favorite America West 737 into Wichita Falls Sheppard AFB and used the tower view , but seemed as though I was in a " chase " plane following the flight .   Is there a simple way to change the way the plane is viewed from the tower ?  As I recall , the view is more realistic at DFW .
Thanks ,
Jamie

Jamie you have two options;
move the tower.
turn down the autogen scenery.

Hi Ozzy ,
Have already tried auto-gen .  How do you move the position of a tower ?

Using AFCAD 1.4 (for FS2002) you can set the location and elevation of the tower view at an airport.
Its available here  http://www.simviation.com/fs2002utilities_ess1.htm at the bottom of the page ;)
