About 2 and 1/2 years ago, I worked for a company that did experiments in electronics, based on the research done with superconductors back in the late sixties. One test involved CFS2 as a measuring stick. The PC was fed outside air in the middle of the winter in northern Minn. at 36 degrees below zero. The internal air in the case was monitored at an average of 11 below zero for the test. The hard drive [since it is sealed] ran very good. The CPU and solid state components ran wild. The best frame rate for CFS2 was 97 fps. When FS2002 came out, it was put to the test, with all sliders full tilt on a 2.6 gig cpu. The average frame rate in large metro areas was 68 fps. In the rural areas, it went as high as 84 fps. A lot has to do with the temperature of your machines.
